Be advised that these images are not optimized for viewing on any particular display and may appear differently depending on operating system and computer platform.

In some instances, full-size high resolution images are presented, and in others, some images have been submitted already somewhat compressed for web delivery by the user. On Steve Urban's page below, the image of the Black-crowned Night Heron appears rather grainy because it was taken at dusk with the camera gained up a bit. This is not a defect.
