track motion drop shadow box not
 

A query. What would have caused the 2D Shadow box in my track motion window (down the bottom under 'Position') to not be there? I have done drop shadows in 3D Alpha before but the option is not (currently) available to me.

EDIT: Ooopps...I've discovered I already asked (and solved) this back in 2012...and that others provided a better solution to the problem than I did!!! Pardons....

Just for the sake of completeness - and for anyone else stumbling across the thread - I'm guessing that you realised that you can't in fact turn on drop shadows directly on a 3d alpha track. What you need to do is to make that track a child of another track and turn on drop shadow in the parent. I can't remember why that's the case exactly, only that it works!

Edit: Ah, just seen your other post - I'll respond to that one shortly!
