Progressive DVD from Architect

I've shot 720 progressive in the camera and edited as progressive in Vegas 11. I've then rendered for DVD changing the field order to progressive, then brought the rendered files into DVD Architect.
The next step was to make the DVD files and I've kept to progressive there too and created a playable disc.
My question is can most DVD players play this format?
I ask because I've read on a few posts that DVD Architect 'cannot make a progressive DVD and will render to interlace. However, MediaInfo reads these vob files as progressive, not interlaced.
Any ideas? Any problems anyone might have had with this method?
Thanks.

Re: Progressive DVD from Architect

I now only create progressive discs, both DVD and Bluray. If you created a progressive file from Vegas and DVDA didn't rerender the disc will be progressive material. Only the oldest DVD player might have a problem with the material. I haven't had any problems with my progressive DVD's playing on set top boxes and I've got literally thousands of dvds in circulation now.

Re: Progressive DVD from Architect

Totally noobish question: what's the advantage in making a progressive DVD? Does the final product look better on the TV if it's progressive? My camera is interlaced, should I select progressive when rendering?
Thanks,
