1st attempt at pulling a luma key in Vegas!
Hey folks, this is my attempt at a last minute decision to pull a luma key using the color corrector (secondary) effect and some masking.
YouTube - Elance Cloud Commute We shot this 1-minute video against a white wall, and then afterwards I decided that even though I want to keep the background white I would really like some subtle movement in the background. At first I kicked myself for not shooting against a green screen, but then common sense prevailed and I decided to try my hand at luma keying. So I duplicated the track, masked out the face, and keyed out the white wall. The dark hair made a decent contrast so it worked! My very first attempt too! Haven't played around much with luma key before, but will do so now! What do you guys think? |
well done mate.
looked pro until 1 min, she tilts her head up and your faded mask doesnt follow. if you fix that one bit, it really looks the goods. cheers :) |
Good observation, Gerald. I was so caught up in watching her I missed it. Very well done!
Someone tell me how to achieve that audio effect? Must be quite simple...I just can't imagine how it's done. |
Yes, good observation Gerald. I sort of let it pass because it looked more like a shadow than a masking error. Will be more careful next time :)
