Vegas 8.1 end of clip odd behavior
I created a project in 8.0c and had it just the way I wanted. I upgraded to 8.1 because I run XP64 and wanted to see if it would render faster. Answer a little bit. Anyway when I open the project in 8.1 on two of the clips I am seeing the extraneous frame or two I always see from clip to clip. The thing I don't understand is if I expand the timeline on 8.0c to the individual frame level, I don't see those extra frames and don't know why I would see them when I open the project in 8.1. It is aggravating because I had used a velocity envelope to go slo-mo to a an extended freeze frame and it really messes up the timing with transitions/audio. I even re-saved the project in 8.1 with the messed up frame and opened it in 8c and it works fine. I don't see the extra frames. What gives. The only thing I can think of is I guess I have a bad habit of just using split instead of create subclip when trimming the clips. I guess I don't understand the inner workings of the program.

Me too !!!
Hi,
I have exactly the same problem as you, the last frame of the AVCHD clips seems to belong a couple of frames earlier... This IS a nuisance! Ofcourse you can edit the clips, but that is ridiculous. However, I got used to this due to the lousy HDV capture that could not cut the material a scene changes correctly. However, a software with the PRO-tag should be able to handle these things correctly. It seems we ARE beta testers without realising it ourselves... Christian |
