Panasonic MFX files
Is it possible to work directly with Panasonic MFX files in Vegas 8? I had thought it was, but it appears that this might not be exactly correct. Can anyone enlighten me?
All info appreciated, marks |
Marks, I do not believe Sony Vegas can work with these files directly but there is a fix. You can use Cineform to import your Panasonic files and have them converted (in real-time) to their intermediate .avi file. The downside is that cineform costs, the upside is that you are getting a very good quality intermediatary to work with that has many benefits including better chroma keying and color correcting functionality.

Mark, Raylight (from DV Film) is the product to look at using for MXF files in Vegas.

Thanks to you both.
I just downloaded the Raylight trial/demo. Looks like that will be the way for me. Thanks again. Ciao, marks |
