Polite way to tell an attendee to be quiet
My latest dance recital: I'm all setup, got my area blocked off, so naturally a big burly father sits as close as possible to me and proceeds to talk while the kids are dancing. I know the proper fix is to invest in a quality remote sound recording system, but the budget and sales do not permit this.
As I sit there fuming during the early numbers, I thought of a way to defuse this guy and his baritone voice that pierced through the music. During a quick break, I said to him, "I don't mind you talking, I honesty don't. Just be aware that everything you say is being picked up by my microphone and will be on the DVD." He didn't utter another word. |

Its like at weddings:
"Your not recording are you?" Me: "Nope, I just get paid to stand here" "Oh good, blah blah blah!" |
