Yet Another Bridal Prep Video (YABPV)
 

I thought it was about time that I toss my hat in the ring and get a little feedback on the work that we are doing. Take note, the titles were done this way per the request of the client. Thanks for your suggestions!

Mpeg 4.....that's not too comon. I couldn't get it to play at my PC at work, it doesn't have QT and wont allow us to install- but I'll give it a shot when I get home.

Well done! I like the song choice for a bridal prep video...good use of monochrome. The only thing I didn't care for was the dissolve from the ring shot to a tighter shot of the rings at the end. I'm a big fan of strong endings and this one just didn't grab me. The rest of the video was excellent.

I almost forgot...loved the titles. Very elegant!

Great job, Patrick! For some reason I was expecting to see the groom's prep in your piece; actually it may not be such a bad idea to intercut between the two preps.

That is pretty danged nice Mr Pike, the titles are really good, and I love the more jazzy feel to the music, as opposed to the typical piano emotion selections. I got a lot of great idea stimulation from it. The only thing I just didnt like was the white letterboxes with blue edges...it just seemed to distractive. Awesome!

Good work! Composition & color was great. Titles were well done too. Your camera work was nice, a lot of those shots looked like they were playing in realtime, and your handheld camera shake was minimal. Was the opening shot of the picture frame/table handheld as well? Great move.

Which wide angle are you using?

Thanks again for the good words--I still feel like I have a long ways to go though!

This clip was shot with a XL1 (shoulder mounted only) and a GL2 on a Flowpod which helps remove the evil camera shake demon while letting me play back in near realtime. The wide angle is Century Optics .65 reversable. Everyone told me not to use it, or that it couldnt be used, on my GL2 but it works just fine. Its nice and sharp (very limited zoom though) distorts a bit, which I like, and has the option for the fisheye when I want to.
