Question for those that use Vimeo.
I see that you get 500 MB each week that you can upload videos with.
Question: How do you "condense" your videos file size to fit that requirement?? I find even my 3 minute videos are in the 800MB size. Am I doing something wrong when I save them? I use Premiere Pro if that helps. Thanks in advance! |
I would suggest reading vimeo's recommendations for rendering the videos you upload, if you haven't already (somewhere in their help pages). I normally render mine as wmv or mp4, 720p, at 4mbps (sometimes 5mbps) via Vegas Pro 8.0. That usually works pretty well for me. One 4:35 (mp4, 720p, 5mbps) video I did came out to around 170mb.
What settings are you using when you render? Andrew |
Use the adobe media encoder and export using the h.264 codec. Check out http://www.vimeo.com/help/compression for more info on the best encoding settings for vimeo.
