Our First Bridal Elegance Video
Hi all,
Here is our first Bridal Elegance video. Enjoy. http://ambientsky.blogspot.com/2008/...nce-video.html Scott |
Very nice!
what stedicam you've used? It's great you've convinced the bride to wear her gown. In Moscow, RUssia, there is a superstition, no one should see the gown, even the Groom(it shouldn't be taken out of the house) before the wedding. |
Apart of ghosting clips (those where the bride is in colour in a b/w forest - personal taste, don't like it), it is excellent.
I really like when brides/people have the open mind to do something like this for their wedding. And when they do it is nice to see that there are some who can take advantage of it and make something very special out of it. Congrats. |
Hey Scott....great piece! Great composition and some creative shots. The sky really popped. The girl looks like she had fun with it. I liked the cowboy boots too :)

Nice peice..excelent song..
From watching other people works, very few peopel do this type of shoot before the wedding. I think its a nice touch and can get so many shoots done and not worry aobut on the wedding day to cram so much in. |
absolutely stunning work there...u must be very proud!
the ONLY MINOR things i wasn't too keen on: - fisheye from the tree (about 2:30)...seemed a bit trippy! - the colour ghost shot...i can see alot of masking work went into that, but it annoyingly just didn't work. maybe a mobile greenscreen next time :) really very good, congrats! |
Hi Oleg,
I use a glidecam 4000 for my FX1 with a vidled attached. Cheers, Scott |
Thank you all for the feedback! It's good to hear what works and what doesn't. :)
Cheers, Scott |

This totally worked for me. I wouldn't change a thing. Great job and good composition. |
Beautiful shots overall, and good editing. Like a few others, I really didn't like the color masking shots. Always good to try something new, though.
|
Scott, do you mind to share what music was it?
How did you make masking shots to pop out so vividly? Congrats, Oleg Kalyan. |

excellent work.
what a setting. I liked all of the work. The bride could possibly be blown away by those very shots some of us here aren't sure about (masking shot). I've seen it happen in the past with effects based work. The only problem with shots like that, would they stand the test of time? now im bursting to use my new merlin, should be here by friday!!! |
Hi Oleg,
Yes it's Sia, Breathe Me. The masking was done by changing the composite mode to hard light and doubling the clip. Colors were oversaturated with 3 way CC. Cheers, Scott |
Scott - awesome! Did you have the bride all to yourself (no photographer)for this shoot? How much time did you need to spend with her to get this? How far in advance of the wedding did you the shoot take place? I loved it!!!
