Lilliput Monitor for DSLR Filiming
I've done my research and have decided to go with a
Lilliput. My question to you is which model should I go with and why? |
I'm considering the Car Computer - Lilliput 669GL-70NP/C - 7" HDMI monitor (non-touch scre and a Car Computer - Mini External Battery - mobile power for Lilliput monitors
But there is more discussion going on here: http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/canon-eo...ml#post1501225 |
Just curious -- if you haven't decided on a model, how did you decide on Lilliput? That's like saying you will buy a KIA but need to know which car to get.
I'm not trying to be mean, but want to make sure you get something that will work for you and to do that, we need to compare model to model, not brand to brand, |
In my case, it's what's available here in the UK in my price range. And as I can probably break an expensive model more easily than a cheap one (according to Sod's law), I'll go with the relatively cheap range this time.

Back to the Lilliput, there is the 6", the 7", the 8", the 2009 model, the 2010 model, the 2011 model, Touch screen? Was just wondering if others who have used the Lilliput could shed some knowledge on whether one model is better than another. |

by brand first and then decide what to choose within that brand... cars are an excellent example of that. It might not make much sense to you, but people do indeed shop that way. |
Hey guys, just an FYI. I went with:
Lilliput 7" HDMI Monitor 669GL-70NPC I let you know how it works out. |

Agreed on that - I use this one too!
(I just wish it had component in as well...) |
Robin, my 669 have component inputs. It was optionnal and replace the VGA input. Look: http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/view-vid...ml#post1583080
You might be able to get the breakout cable directly from the distributor? |
Merci Jean-Philippe!

Will this monitor work with a Sony Z5 shooting DV, HDV and or AVCHD. The camera has component and HDMI out
Thanks |

I use the 8" version on a Canon T2i, a D7 as well as a JVC GZ-HD7 all thru the HDMI output of each. it works great..
|
...and do they display PAL and NTSC??

Just received my Lilliput 7" HDMI Monitor 669GL-70NPC and I love it. It's just big enough for me to do critical focusing and small enough not to be a burden while filming. Thumbs up to the Lilliput.

Nigel cause u r europen like me, where did u buy the lilliput? How long did i ttake to get to your house?
thx |
I've really found this little monitor useful on both HD and SD cameras.
The only problem I've found is the aspect ratio. I'm not getting a true 16:9 image from a Z1 or a Canon HDS100 - in fact, it's ever so slightly stretched vertically and I can't find anything in the menus to alter it... |

Not sure why everyone seems to be rated about the 669 when the 668 is even better and has RGB component outs as well.
|
You can have the RGB component input on the 669 as well. I have explained why I prefer the 669 here: http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/view-vid...ml#post1583080
