May is coming up, and it is time for the next Under Water, Over Land video challenge.
It doesn't matter if you are a veteran film maker, or never have touched a camera before. UWOL is for everyone! It is all about pushing yourself to increase your own skills as a film maker.

Originally UWOL challenge was 3 weeks, then one month. Later we have used both 1 and 2 month challenges. Now it is time to try out something new. A 1,5 month challenge.

Deadline - Notice this is a 1,5 month challenge, ending in the middle of a month.
Sunday, June 20, 2021 - midnight wherever you are

Is here any chance we can get the theme a day early or even just the night before so we can maybe plan and possibly start filming on Saturday? We're under lockdown on Sundays and transportation to get around can be a challenge as Peru is still dealing with record COVID deaths. Thank you for considering this suggestion.

The theme is normally always released in the morning (European time - UTC+2) the day of theme release.

Your question is very understandable and I don't mind being a little flexible in these covid times.
I will therefore aim to release the theme close to midnight night to Saturday May 1. (European time).

Thanks, Trond. It's really not much about COVID -- though planning is a lot more necessary here now than before -- but it's about being able to perhaps get started on the weekend! I don't like to go out and shoot then try to put something together. I like to have a plan -- even if it's just a very general idea -- before filming.

It looks like I'm off to film in the jungle for 2-3 days tomorrow and maybe get some location ideas if I come up with anything that would be appropriate for the upcoming theme. Being in the rainforest is actually a LOT safer than being at home as I'm out by myself and don't have to worry about catching anything.
