Re: UWOL 47 - Tales of wonders and woes
Two weeks into the challenge, and it is totally quiet here. Whoa!
Hope this means that everyone has found an awesome idea and is busy making their entries. |
Re: UWOL 47 - Tales of wonders and woes
No wonders or woes yet. Still thinking on which way to go with this and been kind of busy with other things.

Re: UWOL 47 - Tales of wonders and woes
I have some footage, not enough for the entry yet, and I still need to (re)view it to see if it's any good. I think my idea can work if I get the required shots. But that might be hard as I've started a temporary intern position which will keep me busy for June. So maybe if I can get what I need on weekends I can put something together.
Managed to see some wildlife, but not all easy to capture. Was about 6m from a lyrebird but all I could do was stand and watch, just lowering my gear slowly to the ground in preparation of getting the camera out scared it off. I was wondering why I struggled so much carrying my gear for the 3km round trip - weighed it when I got back (backpack full of DSLR lenses, camera case with accessories, plus video tripod)... 27kg worth! Better keep up the strength training ;-) or maybe take a few less lenses, but I like options. |
Re: UWOL 47 - Tales of wonders and woes
damn - I don't believe this! - I have some footage, pretty simple but it's something and I've run out of time. I'm heading off in 3 hours to work on TV commercials interstate for a week.

Re: UWOL 47 - Tales of wonders and woes
Don't worry, Paul. After.you are done with the commercials, you still have a couple weeks left of June. ;)
I got some footage of birds. But Norwegian birds must be lazy, at least until two seconds after you shut down the camera. Then the birds in a mysterious way come back to life again. Maybe I should call my film "4 minutes of sleepy lazy birds." |
Re: UWOL 47 - Tales of wonders and woes

Re: UWOL 47 - Tales of wonders and woes
Well I got my footage shot, now all I need to do is finish the story (I hope).

Re: UWOL 47 - Tales of wonders and woes
Good to hear, Bob!
My wildlife is playing hide and seek. I have a few minutess of partly useful footage... but only a few seconds of each specie. Not exactly what I wanted. We'll see what the next week brings of good luck. |
Re: UWOL 47 - Tales of wonders and woes
Trond, did you make a ruling on using video original shot in the past to be used in a present challenge?
|
Re: UWOL 47 - Tales of wonders and woes
The rules remain unchanged for this challenge.
What I said, was that we might have some dedicated challenges once in a while, where we allow more previously shot footage. |
Re: UWOL 47 - Tales of wonders and woes
