The short-form UWOL is baaack!

ok people, tonight I finally finished my taxes, so it is time to play a game. Blech, taxes, get me out there shooting something...

I'm going to give this thread some extra time, the rest of the month, so that we can catch the folks who don't check in daily.

Theme announcement will be May 1. Deadline is May 25.

This lets the true masochists play along on both games.

Between DVC and the UWOL long-form, let's see if anybody is left to sign up.

A few notes:

If this is your first time playing, you must:
1) sign up on this thread, stating your commitment to finish!
2) send me an e-mail with a current e-mail address to uwol@comcast.net - if you have played before and changed your e-mail address, please send one as well. I need your current e-mail in order to send you uploading instructions...

Sign-up closes: April 30

Deadline: May 25, midnight anywhere in the world

Also remember that your designated sign-up number on this thread converts to your unique number that you use when you name your film file - see rule #7 on the UWOL website for details...

I will be living in a forest in Costa Rica with no internet access come May 1st, but if I can manage finding out the theme while I am there I will definitely attempt it. Uploading the finished video on time may be a problem..... hmmm...

litter of 9 pointer pups last night, this week wife gets her long awaited west highland terrier, mid may 16 day old falcon to nurture, two field trials to prep the pointers for.

then there is the long form and short form!!!


I must be impaired or something.

I know the feeling well. Struggling with time to do anything that would be considered a personal project (Including the long form), so probably a hefty kick in the backside to get something short-term done would be a boost. Mind you, something that reminded me how to use the stills cameras wouldn't go amiss - I realised the other day that, apart from snapshots of the house renovations, I haven't done any stills for a year!

So, maybe I'll get my first UWOL completed this time? Though from the dates, I'll not know what the theme is until May 7th as I'll be away the first week of that month.

I'm up for it.

Just done a little more shooting for the longform. Saw some locations to do some more. Still thinking about what to do for DVC, but I'm sure I'll figure something out soon.
