Absolutely fantastic Mark. I think this is your best work ever. Really, really nice shots. I especially like the insects. I've also been shooting slow-mo of bees, butterfies, frogs, hummingbirds, etc. this week (must be the right time of year). I haven't looked at the footage yet, but I doubt any of it looks as good as this. Really nice. I've gotta step up my game.

Not bad at all- in fact bloody good! 10 bit Vimeo video plays okay in Safari on this iMac as well. Unlike YouTube stuff.

Were you shooting in ProRes with consequent very large video files?
I'm keen on a GH6 to replace a GH5 but am wary about 10bit with my Apple kit, and the main point of a GH6 does seem to be 10 bit.

Outstanding. Definitely one of the best you have done. The detail and color were breathtaking. I used to envy your waterfall videos, but this is a gamechanger. I expect to see these on your Pond5 account soon. What a joy to watch with my morning coffee. You made this old entomologist very happy. We seem to hang out at the same places so hopefully we'll run into each other in the field. Thanks for such a wonderful treat. Bob

Thanks Doug. Shooting macro is a lot of fun. The GH6 is nailing focus better than I thought it would.

Ron, have not shot ProRes. Files are too large for me. I am noticing a nice improvement shooting 10 bit.

I'm already impressed as it is with having the insects not fly away, and actually being able to catch them doing their thing.

I actually trained as a science teacher, specialising in biology. Instantly I was thinking of (a) how awesome it would be to use some of those shots when teaching kids, and (b) how crappy the photos were in the textbooks when I was going through school. We never had anything as good and clear as this.
