just got Bogen 3283W/503 Head
 

i was just wondering if i got a good deal, and what the difference between the 3283 and 525mvb is?i got this for 400 slightly used

That's a good deal for that Manfrotto set-up.

That's a pretty good deal, especially if it's only lightly used.
The only difference between the tripods is the leg locks:
3283 has knobs and the 525 has snap-lock clamps (which can be tightened with the included allen wrench).
The 525mvb kit (tripod, head,spreader,bag) is about $725-750.

The head is rated for 13lbs...a friend uses one for his Sony 250,
I use mine for the Pana DVX100A.

i didnt get the 503 instead i got the 505 and the 3283 sticks for 400. the only bad thing is tbat its missing the plate
