Any Gitzo 2380 Experience?
 

I'm looking for a decent video head to use with my GL2, and I'm wondering if the Gitzo 2380 head would be a better choice then the Bogen 501. The Gitzo is $170, opposed to $135 for the Bogen. Any info/experiences on this head is appreciated.

I wish I could afford the Gitzo Jeff Donald is selling but it's a bit out of reach.

Sorry nobody else has replied. I had a 2380 and it's a nice head. I think it's a fair recommendation over the 501... for the difference in price you aren't throwing any cash away, that's for sure.

I was kinda wondering how great it was if nobody is using them, but I was about to order it with a "To Hell With It, I'll Try It!" attitude, thanks for comfirming my gut instinct!

I don't have any experience with that head, but overall I'm very impressed with the Gitzo quality and precision. I don't think it will be any worse that the 501. The Bogen 501 is not as smooth as a head can be. The price meets many peoples budgets, though. Let us know how the head works out.
