Program to create logo at beginning of movie
I don't know if this is the correct forum to post this in or not.
I have been thinking about creating a short "clip" of my company's Logo, like the ones you see at the beginning of movies. Like PIXAR or SKG or whatever. What programs should I be looking at to create something like this? How steep is the learning curve? |
Which 3D app to chose...
Everything to some degree is now made in a 3D app, so it's good that you learn at least one. Me personally I'd recommend 3D Studios Max to anyone and everyone, there's a few free ones, and some cheap ones like Truespace 6.6 that are a great bang for your buck.
Truespace 6.6 www.caligari.com 3D Studios Max www.discreet.com both good companys and they both have trials.... and if all else fails hire me and I'll make an intro for you =D |
Or, for 2D only animation, use Flash.

It totally completely depends on what your logo looks like. Some
are simple text animations that a text plugin in an NLE with some filters might handle. Others are handdrawn and scanned in. Some are pieces of film with some effects over it. Others are handdrawn in a 2D package or completely created in a 3D application. It all depends on the logo, material already available and how it must animate. |
