I performed a search, but didn't find anything on this. I just read an excite review that this was shot entirely by hand on digital to give a 'documentary feel'. Anyone heard about this? What cams were used? Sounded interesting to me.

I have seen some excerpts as the movie has won some kind of price in Locarno and they look very good. A lot of camera motion.
It didn't look digital and in fact IMDB mentions Super16. |
Interesting. The excerpt from the review:
[The film takes a piercing, wrenching look at what it feels like for a girl, as the Madonna song goes. It feels that much more realistic because it was shot with hand-held digital video over just 26 days, creating the raw vitality of a documentary.] I wonder if only parts were shot digitally? Thanks for the info. It adds (creates?) to the mystery!!! |
The handheld stuff reminds me of the Dogme movement, with films like "Festen" by Thomas Vinterberg.
