"Kinescope", print to film. Experience?
Hi Folks,
Am preparing a budget for a feature to be shot on XL-1S (XL-2?), then after editing and color correcting to be printed on 35 mm film. I have a quote for this 90 min film and it's a whopping 30.000 euros (say dollars for simplicity's sake) for the master. Now this may very well be the price to be paid, but I would love to hear other people's experience. I saw this US company on the web: http://www.digitalfilmgroup.com/ and they claim to be the best. Have asked for a quote there too. I need a very high quality result. So anyone: any input from past experience? Thanks very much! |
I read a review last year, put the highest marks on a group in Switzerland... name escapes me. The price quote you received is a fair one.

Why are you printing to 35mm?
One copy of your film on 35mm?! It sure looks impressive, but if your film is picked up for distribution by a company, then they'll sort out (and pay for) the printing and advertising. |
The company Richard is referring to is Swiss Effects. I have had several clients use them and they had nothing but great comments and praise for them.

That's great. Always best to have a recommendation. Thank you!
