Can I legally use smartsounds if . .
 

I bought it off ebay. There's some up for sale now but I struggle wading through all the legal mumbo jumbo on the smartsound website. Do I have to buy smartsounds from smartsounds along with paperwork that says I have the right to use it in order to use their music for a documentary or a short or local public access? I'm guessing the answer is no but I just want to be sure.

why not just ask Smartsound?
that would be the definitive answer. If't is okay they you are golden, if it's not, you don't waste your money.
