I remember when I was buying my first tripod and it's as if all the tripod manufacturers expected you to be at their level of talking about heads and legs. It's absolutely bewildering.

Great video, and the super quick tripod setup demo at 12:31 really sells what you are saying about the tripods.

Another informative video from Doug. About 4-5 years ago I replaced my 12+ year old Sachtler Speedlock 75/FSB6 tripod with a Sachtler Flowtech75/Aktiv8S kit. The Flowtech system works as advertised. No regrets.

Well then I'd like to complain that the video was only in HD and not 4K resolution. :-)

I know you're just joking, but believe it or not, I get those complaints sometimes from people who are totally serious. Yeah, like I'm going to shoot, edit, and upload an 8-hour training video series in 4K so 99% of the people can watch in HD. Crazy. And when I click on their profile to see what kind of work they do, often they they only have one or two videos posted . . . that were shot vertically on a handheld phone.
