I ended up buying a wordpress plugin called bzplayer to display both hls and rtmp. the guy was really helpfull
so good to go it seems

Would you mind updating it after using it? I'm curious on the server/hosting side, does it have the bandwidth/buffering capability to host livestreaming video?

I would think most WP & web hosting uses shared hosting, and wonder how capable they are to pull something like this off. Checked out the plugin, seems amazing if it works.
