Old Rebel G lens with digital body
Can the old Rebel G lens fit on the body of the Digital Rebel?
Thanks |
If it is an EF lens (I think the whole Rebel line is), then yes.
|
You could. But why would you want to?
That freebie Rebel G lens is that the very bottom of the EF food chain. I don't think you can even give one away anymore. Putting it on a digital SLR would be doing a serious injustice to the camera. Try the EF 28-135mm image stabilzed USM lens instead, under $500. |
Another vote for the 28-135mm IS USM. I used that on both my Digital Rebel and 10D. I also got great performance out of the Canon EF-S 17-85mm IS USM ($599).
How does the old Rebel G lens compare to the 18-55mm sub $100 lens on the D. Rebel? |
Yet a third vote for the 28-135mm IS.
I bought mine for my 10d and love it (except it isn't wide enough with the crop factor). It completely outperforms the cheap Canon lenses I used to have. I'll never go back. Completely not worth it UNLESS you just don't have the cash. |
