I own one and I love it.

I use it all the time and I consider it invaluable. I've used it at a couple of weddings and use it almost everyday around my studio.

Thanks for your comment, Richard.
This gadget has many uses, but i want to use it like stabiliser basically.

Do you think the Steadypod works like Glidecam or is worse/better??
If you have any clip made with the Steadypod id like to see it.

How does one obtain a Steadypod? It's not obvious from the web site.
Thanks.

Richard,

Are you talking about the steadypod or the steddiepod?

Thanks

names getting too similar

Similar name, very different product, is the Steddiepod, which is a combo monpod with nice feet and extendable monopod, single pole, steadypod without a gimbal. This one's at ezprompter.com

I tried it briefly at a seminar and was pleasantly surprised at the handling. I tried it with a PD170, but if I got it I'd want to use it with my Z1 which is a bit heavier - not sure how that would feel & work.

I really would like to hear from anyone who has been using this and how they like it. Richard, if you're listening, is this \ what you've been using, or did you really mean the steadypod?
