Stabilizer Exercises?
Anyone know a source for training exercises to improve stabilizer technique?
I'm using a Varizoom flowpod arm/vest setup; I assume that the basic principles are the same for that general type of unit... |
i have seen a video with a very simple exercise that probably covers all situation.
find a wall with with about 10 to 20 feet of empty space in front of it. draw a cross (or anything else) on the wall. the height should be the one that let you frame the cross easily into the the viewfinder. Probably between your chest and your eyes. on the floor , draw a line that goes off the wall (about the 10 to 20 feet mentionned before). now you can just walk on each side of the line (backward, forrward, crossing the line at each end) while keeping the cross just in the middle of the viewfinder (or monitor) and steady. You can do even better by replacing the line with a bench, so you can add the exercise to cross the bench in the middle. |

Why? I thought that you got everything you need. I look forward to your video. ;-) Regards Leigh |
If it's an instructional video, I want it...
Right now my stabilizer footage looks like the work of TWO professional operators...fighting over the stabilizer while it's in motion... |
Karl, that's a great way to put it--mind if I use that??
|
Sure, why not?
