Appreciate the tip Charles.

I'll have to give it a try.

(I'm looking forward to your video, are you taking any advance orders?)

Charles Papert March 30th, 2005 07:35 AM

No advance orders--I'm in eternal pre-production. Waiting to hear about a feature that would start immediately after the one I'm on now, which would push production of the instructional video back another three months. I need a solid month to make this video happen, which is a bit of a tall order at the moment. But it is very much in my sights, and I plan to spend time at NAB re-connecting with the various equipment manufacturers to make sure this will all happen.

Armando

Meant to get back to you on this sooner.

The vest is about four and a half pounds. The arm came in at, just a hair over, eight pounds.

I'll have to get back to you with the weight of the empty sled (don't want to tear down the rig right now) but if I were to hazard a guess I would say somewhere around three pounds.

With the XL2, Chrosziel rod-mount matte box, BP-945 batt, TA100, and two Hytron 50 batts, my sled tips the scales at about twenty pounds (and floats like a dream).
