Boom Mic setup
 

Hi there,

I posted a tread previously which led me to buy the Audio Technica AT4073A Shotgun Mic.

Just wondered if anyone could suggest the best bits to go with it (boom pole, shock mount and windshield ect). I want a set up for indoor and outdoor recording.

K-Tek makes the best poles and shock mounts in my opinion.

I have a K-Tek shock mount with a Gitzo carbon fiber boom.

The coiled cord (outside the boom) goes to a SoundDevices MM1 which provides phantom power and a headphone monitor. It then feeds my ATW-1800 wireless transmitter. The audio person can monitor what the mic is picking up and remain untethered.
