The Converted..JVC TO EX-3
oK, Hello to all.
I am a long time JVC (HD201)user, its time for me to upgrade, have a few questions. I want to know will the camera shoot a true progressive 720p/50 ok ? or even better 1080p (that would be good as i now are burning off bluRay disks) and are looking to add a super wide angle zoom thru lens, any ideas. I will be using the new 60 gighdd to capture to, so will it capture to the other card as well, as a safty backup. rob. |
The EX1 and EX3 will both shoot true 720/50P and upto 30P at 1920x1080. The lens is reasonably wide to start with but Sony make a 0.8 zoom through adapter and Century make a range of other adapters.

It's the adjective 'super' that you've tacked onto 'wide-angle' that worries me. There is a dire lack of such lenses at the moment (I presume you're talking of something rectilinear like 17 mm on a full-frame SLR), so if this is a real need-now requirement beware.

thanks tom, the super wide i am looking for is like a 1/2 fisheye style, but i will have a look around, the other questions i was going to order the 60gig hdd with it but now not to sure, after reading all the problems.
has any one got a bullet proof set up yet. Rob |
No such thing as a "bullet-proof setup" I'd say, it depends on what you're shooting and the look you're after. I suppose the best you can do for an allround setup is just use one that gives the most dynamic range and the most information from the scene to allow manipulation in post.
