Is anybody else having problems with the little plastic box that houses the threads for a tripod plate? Mine is bowing and stripping out, and it's making for a wobble that just won't do. I'd like a metal replacement or some other sage advice. I'm connecting with a plate for my Bogen 503-HDV.

I think I have the same issue. The 4 little screws that surround the camera plate (or part) that the bogen plate screws into, came loose on mine. I just went down to Ace Hardware and bought some small screws that were a little longer. That solved the problem ( for now.) The Ace screws seemed higher quality too. Hope that makes sense.

Makes sense. I have to take mine out and check it tonight. The threads that seem to be stripping are the threads that hold my tripod plate!
