EX-1 to HVR-60
 

Have anyone tried to record HDV signals from EX-1 to HVR-60? I was hoping for a buffer recording in the EX-1 or EX-3, but that didn't happen.

Yes, it works flawlessly - but only in SP mode.

When you consider the camera is handling about 87.5mbps when doing 60fps overcrank you'd think/wish Sony would find a way to buffer 1 or 2 seconds of data in a loop when not using S&Q motion.

If you look at the XML file in the BPAV folder there's a cache record setting in there set to "off" so they had to have been thinking of this. I guess there's some technical obstacle to this specific to the EX series. I don't think it was even mentioned with the announced hard drive for the camera.

Thank you Piotr and Craig. That will give me an alternative, not the best, but it will do the job until better portable solutions are on the marked.
