slow pan while the sky was going dark over Vegas ... how'd you do that?

very very slowly with my hand on the pan handle for twenty minutes.

kidding the edit is 720p the shot 1080 so all done in edit.

might be shooting in tokyo in two weeks dean

Done a new short using the ex1 and ultimate in Tokyo. I used a very cheap motorized tripod head for the last timelapse shot(really a telescope head, details in blog)

One question: are you using the Letus on every shot, changing the aperture for the desired DOF, or are you removing and replacing the Letus between shots?

What music sources you can recommend ? Are you using own archives or are there any other archives on the Internet ... ?!

Shooting nice pictures is one thing - putting it all together with very well "balanced" sound is something else... you are doing exceptional well in that aspect, Phil.

EX1 arrived today... so I am starting the learning curve with the new camera from now on !

Letus always stays on Jon!

Mostly my own music, sometimes I look for inspiration. Death Valley was hardest. The one in end was one i chose before going there, then I changed my mind but couldn't find anything that worked as well

annoyingly one of my ex1's in Tokyo has gone wrong. The LCD has died. The EVF still works but as we all know it's awful.

Gutted!!! Oh and my macbook hard drive seized up too. Must be something in the air.

Oh man! My condolences on the equipment failures. Any chance of finding a Sony service center there? You could ask around Akihabara...

Hey Phil,

on the encodes online, i saw some flickering in the really high highlight sections of the Death Valley video once between 2:38-2:39, and again between 3:50 and 3:55. Is this anything that you've seen from the camera or some weird encoding issue?

Sorry if this has been asked already, and thanks for the any feedback you can give.
