|

give us a call ...
It would be great to meet and I think Kaku would be pleased as well. Both he and I are in Shibuya and the other guys in Tokyo I'm sure would be into a brew or two, or three ... let's have a beer!

if the job is confirmed this week will let you know, in the meantime...
My second short "Red, Red, Rocks" is now up http://www.philipbloom.co.uk/Philip_...Red_Rocks.html Shot on the Ultimate/ EX1 combo with Hien watching something being shot for the first time with his adaptor. Filmed in Red Rock Canyon, Las Vegas Music is Ghosts 1 by Nine Inch Nails Info and photos on blog as per usual The flash version will follow soon. |
Done a new short using the ex1 and ultimate in Tokyo. I used a very cheap motorized tripod head for the last timelapse shot(really a telescope head, details in blog)
You can see the short here http://www.philipbloom.co.uk/Philip_Bloom/Shibuya.html thanks to Alex Kubalsky for all his help |
Great looking stuff!
One question: are you using the Letus on every shot, changing the aperture for the desired DOF, or are you removing and replacing the Letus between shots? Thanks! |

Phil, I repeatedly found your music is very well selected... What music sources you can recommend ? Are you using own archives or are there any other archives on the Internet ... ?! Shooting nice pictures is one thing - putting it all together with very well "balanced" sound is something else... you are doing exceptional well in that aspect, Phil. EX1 arrived today... so I am starting the learning curve with the new camera from now on ! |
Good piece ...
Excellent Phil ~ hope to catch up with you today. Been out shooting flowers in the mountains!

annoyingly one of my ex1's in Tokyo has gone wrong. The LCD has died. The EVF still works but as we all know it's awful.
Gutted!!! Oh and my macbook hard drive seized up too. Must be something in the air. |
Oh man! My condolences on the equipment failures. Any chance of finding a Sony service center there? You could ask around Akihabara...
Best of luck. |
Hey Phil,
on the encodes online, i saw some flickering in the really high highlight sections of the Death Valley video once between 2:38-2:39, and again between 3:50 and 3:55. Is this anything that you've seen from the camera or some weird encoding issue? Sorry if this has been asked already, and thanks for the any feedback you can give. Dave |
