Mike, did you compare resolution (spatial and temporal) at +18db. As you know, limiting bandwidth and applying some frame averaging can in combination with coring, drastically reduce subjective noise effects and allow more initial gain, ending up in a brighter image.

Sorry, should have made it clear that it is not my camera nor test.

So, I take it that the PD-170 will have the same results as the Vx2100 shown above?
