What does the "/1" mean? MFR # HXR-NX3/1
 

This is current:
MFR # HXR-NX3/1

This is what first started shipping:
MFR # HXR-NX3

What's the difference? Firmware? It DOESN'T include a media card? I am not sure the difference.

Sony answers as follows:

"the NX3 did not have a battery and charger; we revised to a new model in the fall called /1 that includes both elements"

The battery was to be charged on the camera originally.
