FX1000 to convert PAL miniDV tapes to NTSC
 

A friend of mine asked me if I could try to capture and convert tapes from his vacation in Turkey. The footage was recorded with PAL Sony miniDV camera. I was skeptic so I didn't promised him nothing, but wanted to try.

I was surprised to see FX1000 playing the tapes flawlessly on its LCD screen. But problems started when I tried to capture via Firewire port - no signal transfer. Doesn't matter if I play with the project settings (NTSC or PAL).

2nd thought was to try to do it via analog connectors (I have Pinnacle's A/D converter) - another failure.

Anyone has any suggestions? or should I give up?
