Beating the crap out of the FX1 !
I just came from a 3 day vacation to Yosemite to which I took my FX1. I shot almost 3 hours of HDV in every possible situation day night fog, rain snow, you name it.
I put the poor camera thru moist, rain, snow, 6200+ feet of elevation and under 30F cold. For all protection I had a poncho over me and the camera.... guess what, nothing ever happened to the camera, it performed perfect and I think the results were outstanding! I might post some footage online during the week if people are interested. |
definately!
I'm still in the deciding proces. It's between the FX1 and the VX2100. So come on - convince me to use the extra money and go HDV! |
I want to see what you did. And Thomas... Go HDV. You won't regret it. I don't. The money hurt me at first, but after I looked at the footage... fuggeddaboutit!

Gimme a couple of days, we are rounding up November sweeps and that has kept me at the station more than I would like to. But they will be up before the weekend. |
I once took the fx1 on a speed boat caputring waters sports. No protection on the camera. Got a lot of salt spray on it still working fine to this date.
