Playing old DV tapes on FX1?
 
I supose there's no way to play dv tapes recorded on various mini dv camcorders on FX1? It is just mpeg based DV, right?

The FX1 carries a miniDV logo, so it will play back any DV tape.

When in DV mode the FX1 is a DV camera. When in HDV mode it records in MPEG-2, but when in DV mode it uses the same DV format as all prior DV cameras.
