A1 Doesn't Have 24p, But...
OK. I know the A1 doesn't have true 24p. And I know the other processes causes the A1 pulldown output to lose resolution in the process.
But... Being the original quality is HD, do any of these alternatives still produce a better end product for film than the DV 24p cameras such as the DVX100s, etc.? |
Of course, the JVC HD100 is true 24p HDV and not all that expensive and many times a beeter camera than the A1.
|
The JVC HD100, if I did the search correctly, is extremely expensive, especially when compared to the A1.
Is this the camera you're talking about? http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont....x=0&image.y=0 |
Yep, the $5,000+ terrain is a little rich for my blood. Gorgeous, but I couldn't possibly pull it off. But I can drool from afar, no?
I would be simply overjoyed, just to know that the A1 would produce a better pic than the DVs like the DVX100 when transfered to film or downgraded to SD (if that's the case). |

shoot with cinema effect and then use aspect hd to remove pulldown upon capture and viola! 24p
|
i believe you might be able to use cinema tools as well

Have you guys seen this 24p look footage from the HC1? Truly amazing:
http://www.dvuser.co.kr/zboard/data/..._720p_900k.wmv He used Avid's 24p template to render and tweaked the gamma curves. |
alexander, do you have a link to how he did that in avid?
|
It is being discussed in SHDVI's forum but we haven't heard from him yet. Here' the link to the thread:
