Is there a way to turn off the back light on the Small LCD Display?

Yeah, that's what I thought.
I did find something under Menu G .... Gaff tape.

The LCD brightness button just under the main LCD will also turn off the backlight for the supplementary LCD, but only if you have the main LCD backlight off as well.
