Audio problem - F355
Just checking to see if anyone may have had this problem with a 355 before we send it back for warranty work.
Channel 1 audio, when set to the "rear" position on the audio switch does not work. It works in the front position (for the on-camera mic). We don't have a Sony wireless, so I don't know about the wireless setting, but it doesn't work when the switch is set to rear. We've been using a Lectrosonics wireless in the rear XLR position for the past 10 months with no problem. We're just using Ch. 2 now, but we need both channels available in case we're using 2 mics. Also, do I have to go through the dealer for warranty work or can I send it directly to Sony? Thanks. |
It could be an issue with a loose ribbon cable that links the side pannel and its control to the camera's main electronics or just a faulty switch. For warranty repairs, It is best to send the camera to your nearest Sony Service Center. Here is the info on locations and procedures for in-warranty repais:
