XDCAM Drive Software
 

Hi Guys,

I just came across this on Sony's Japanese website. It's called XDCAM Drive Software for the PDW-U1 drive. Anyone heard of this piece of software? Is this the software that allows you to put whatever you want on an XDCAM Professional Disc?

That's the software that was released last month with the firmware upgrade for the U1.

It's the software that allows you to view the disc and drive info, update fimware and format a disc etc.

I've not seen anything that allows writing of files either single or multiple above the 500 Mb (or is it 512Mb) within the general folder. This was rumoured but AFAICT, it's not there yet...
