Did you saw this prices in B&H?
"Our current selling price for the: Sony - PDW-700 XDCAM HD422 CAMCORDER is $28,499.95."
And
"Our current selling price for the: Sony - PDW-HD1500 XDCAM HD422 RECORDER DECK is $19,999.95."
Est. arrival at B&H is 2-4 weeks (subject to availability)
No reference about viewfinder.

That price is for a body only camera. No vf or microphone and no camera plate. The retail is $29,500 so that works out about right for the street price you showed from BH Photo.

Pretty much all of the initial inventory has been snagged for the Olympics.

I was just at Sony HQ in Park Ridge last week and this info is from a senior manager.

The SD Record & Playback Software (DVCAM & all flavors of MPEG-IMX) for PDW-700 is going to be available in october 08. It is called CBKZ-MD01, and it is a payed option. Price is not available yet.


A first firmware update V1.1 will also be available in october 08 at no cost.

When is real delivery date for average single unit buyer?

Odered my PDW-700 and AbelCine has given me a ship date of June 5

You'd be very lucky if that happens. Keep us posted! Pretty much everything I've been told is late summer/early fall for single unit buyers.
