Finally - A Fair Price
Hey guys.
I finally have something to show. This was actually done last year, and some of you might remember me talking about something I did that didn't come out well. So we cut it "Grindhouse" style and it actually works pretty well as a trailer. It was originally to be a 15 minute short. Anyway, hope you enjoy it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTbyTBdpIEM |
wow, the Letus really works well - nicely photographed.

CONTROL 1999 - 2002: Opinions please
Here is some footage from a $200 8mm Sharp camera from 1999 -2002. I converted it to 16:9 and tried 24p. When viewed smaller it doesn't look to bad. Just wanted to gather some opinions and thoughts on this now VERY old footage. I uploaded it to google video as a .mov, so I'll have to try other formats and probably read to find the best settings and format for GV. Here is the blurb and link:
Control 1999 - 2002 gives us the sport side, in 9 minutes, what film maker Marco Wagner went through to make the three "I Believe I Can Fly" shorts. Loads of skatboarding, ATB, and mountainboarding condensed into the choice shots. Not bad for someone who was pushing 30 at the time. http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...02594058612439 |
Loved it..great work. What mount and lens were you using?

A few of my Volkswagen Vids
These were shot over the past few months as I toured the U.S. in a 1973 VW bus. I threw these clips together for the VW community but thought I'd share them here as well. I put them together goofing around with MS Moviemaker. I'm currently working on a DVD tutorial for Premiere.

Dissonance
The general jist of this piece is a young father experiencing his own, sudden loss of life; his own. Everything we see is his own thoughts.
The link to the film is LEFT SCROLL DOWN TO THE VIDEO MENU (No reg required) http://auteurtheory.ning.com/ This was shot for DVXuser. Thoughts apppreciated, but no SUGAR please! |
My short about low morale (2 min) shot w/ an XL2
This is just a quick little thing me and my friends from the band The Spill Canvas put together for their fans. We made up the whole thing on the spot. The sun was going down so I white balanced on a light blue t-shirt to give it a sort of warm card look.
Anyway, nothing too exciting I just thought I would show it off. http://youtube.com/watch?v=3bFPuCtfIh4 |

John,
Well done... It's kind of hard to judge the cinematography because of the compression, but the whole thing has a surreal edge. Kind of a Jacobs Ladder sort of feel. I'd like to watch it again, but I find it a little disturbing... ahh! the power of the medium. But with a deceased father, and a son I play baseball with... maybe it's a little too close to home. I found the initial hospital follow shot to be eery. If you hadn't given the 'jist' of the story, I would have been confused over what was happening but maybe that was just me. |

New Short Comedy Sketch - "Snitch"
Hey everyone,
I was doing some cleaning the other day and came across some old props I had, so me and my friends put together short skit in about two hours. It came out pretty good. It’s called “Snitch”, and it’s a short film (about 3 minutes) about a little boy with a tattle problem, with an unexpected twist. www.greenbench.tv/videos/Snitch.wmv Enjoy, feedback is appreciated, although I’m more interested in the content than the quality. Equipment Used: DVX100B Oktava Lowel Light Kit Sincerely, John Holland www.greenbench.tv |
Haha that was certainly...interesting lol

Yeah, unexpected. :)
