When you say he wouldn't perform the song twice... he refused to do it twice? Or because of some budget/logistical constraints you couldn't do it twice...?
If he refused to do it twice, that's f'ing retarded... shows his lack of enthusiasm for his music career, which shows in his boring performance in the video. And I agree, the song is awful. I thought the video was well shot. Some better than others in certain areas. I understood the concept, but I think you could have gone more in detail with it. Not too shabby for a first try. Keep shooting man! |
My first Chroma work
Hi,
Forget the subject matter - take a look and let me have your opinion of the chromawork that I have done? http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...oid=1087275444 Thanks |
Lets' split this into two parts........
The artist - not my cup of tea and perhaps another wannabe....... The video - great! Well shot, well produced and a good solid production. My only (slight) criticism is that you should be a bit more 'rad' in your shots with a few strange camera angles etc. Good though. |
Japan and Scotland
Here is link to some demo-reels that I have produced about the area I live in in Japan.
They were all shot in DVcam format and after editing with Pinnacle Liquid Edition 6.1 encoded for the web. http://www.gaijin-eyes.com/ (ENTER the site, then click on "Movie Clips" The second link is to a few demo-reels from a visit to my homeland - Scotland - this year. They were shot in HD format with a Sony Z1, edited with LE6.1 then downconverted and encoded for the web. http://www.gaijin-eyes.com/liquid/HDconvert/index.htm I am always open to comments and suggestions - whether they are positive or negative. However, negative comments are appreciated more if they are accompanied by some constructive suggestions to improve the work in question...... :-) |

New Trailer for The Box - feature film
I am currently 85% done with a feature film I have been shooting here in Louisville, KY. The website for the movie is here .
Although the trailer is on the website, you can also view it here. We had nice write up in Fangoria that can be viewed here and just had our trailer accepted as an Official Selection in the Fright Night Film Fest. We are fairly happy with how this is proceeding considering we are not quite done with the film yet. |
I like what I see. Some shots are a bit too dark for my taste. I presume that is the intent though. Will be nice to see the finished product!
|
Looks pretty good, shame there's no voice over on the trailer. I think it would make it look much more 'professional' and also add a bit more info regarding the story.
Nicely done though. |
Mike, another great job on a short. I'm impressed again. I am glad you are taking the video outside, for me, when short videos start inside it seems very claustrophobic. Once you start building on you your video even more, I would tighten up the scenes though. They should not be so long. Some of the running cuts could be replaced with various shots of the winderness or woods. Cut to running, then cut to running then again loses attention of people.
Other than that, it looks pretty good. Nice job on the effects. Justin |
