A Bridal Preperation Clip for view
|
The production values look good.
However, it's hard to follow the flow due to the fact the encoded file is such a low frame rate. |
Must me a bandwidth problem on your end.....
|
The problem must be further up as I'm on a fast broadband connection (2-2.7Mb/s) and normally don't have a problem with high bandwidth video. Anyway, I downloaded the video and it played smoothly. It was well done, good camerawork and pleasing color.

Very nice work! I am sure that the people involved loved such a touching and intimate view into their special day.
Nice quality of shots, good motion and isolation of subject, and the transitions are very nice and comfortable. Quality stuff! Alex |
The video looks great! The resolution is very crips and I like how you shot all the scenes.
I'm new to filming professionally, but does anyone know how the shot was done when the camera was slowly panning around the shoes? How do you shoot something like that slowly? Thanks :D |
Mike,
The shot of the shoes was a handheld shot....I actually made about10 different pans to be sure I got one that was at least stable/smooth. I then slowed the clip down (velocity envelope). Project was done in Vegas..... |

yikes I realize it wasn't a pan shot as more of a "truck" shot.....

What's a "truck" shot and how do you achieve this? |
in this case, moving the camera around the shoes instead of simply panning the camera around

site gives error. DOen'st load up. ANy tips?
|
Plays fine for me.
Looks good. Was this the intro to a longer wedding video, or a stand-alone piece? I'd love to know more about your set-up? What are you shooting with? What sort of lighting set-up (if any) were you working with? Is the soft-focus look done in-cam via filters, etc., or done in post? And all those sorts of questions... I think the pacing and mood were near-perfect. Are wedding videos part of your regular work? |
Thanks for the comments John....
Yes this was a part of a wedding package. This was shot with a box stock XL1s and natural light. Everything else was done in post with Vegas. Yes I'm a wedding and event videographer (about 2 yrs)..... |
This looks very good for just using existing lighting - I would have assumed that there was additional lighting. Did you shoot in frame mode? Or does Vegas just handle slo-mo fairly well?
It looks like you put a lot of care into your wedding videography (at least from this once clip). |
