new monopod/stabilizer

Has anyone tried one of these, or heard about it?

Unfortunately, the same guy in this video has a video on the VZ website in which he describes it as a more versatile FlowPod, and that one has had quite a few negative reviews. I think the same problems would be encountered with this one.

Take a look at the Dougmon System at Dougmon.com. It was invented by a cameraman for documentary, reality, news shoots. You can use the Dougmon on your arm with an articulating head or place it in the Shoulder sling for two hands on the camera operation. Disclaimer: I'm married to the cameraman :) Doug Monroe.

I haven't tried this exact model, but based on past experiences, the more moving parts you have, the more chances you have of things going out of alignment. When things begin to loosen up, it's almost impossible to balance any rig in stabilization mode. Anybody else experience this?
