Bruce... I normally put the lens adapter on a lens and leave it that way.. I bought them to use with a 35MM adapter for my HV20...
the 35 mm adapter does not have the same elements as any DSLR...

If you have ever used the Canon 1D pro cameras...
If you have ever used the Canon 1D pro cameras you know that they come with a great
hand grip... a very nice hand grip.. but that hand grip does not fit a smaller Canon body
like the 7D... well,...

I just switched the Nikon 50MM to the Nikon 17-35mm 2.8... seeing the exact same exposure
issue with the 7D.. the 5DMKII worked as it should...

Nikon Lens adapter
I another post today it was asked if the 'smart' type of lens adapters work on the 7D.
These are the ones that provide focus confirm, just like a Canon lens does.
So I hadn't checked it out yet,...
