I've got an MA-100, an MA-200, and a SignVideo (similar to, if not better than Beachtek) XLR to stereo mini-plug adapter.

The MA 200 allows 4 XLR connections (useless to me, as I always record 16 bit, 48k), BNC video in/out, and telescopes backward on a set of metal rails to allow more space for mounting accessories on the camera (that is a big plus). The MA-100 was a huge step forward in balancing the weight of the 16X lens, and the MA-200 made the balancing act better. Never had an issue with structural weakness. Just remember that the 1/4"-20 socket in the camera used to secure the MA adapters is NOT a tripod mount!

The Signvideo adapter is a wonderful piece of equipment, but it doesn't allow for accessory mounting options.

I just bought a Canon MA-100 with Anton Bauer battery adapter off of Ebay for $45.00 so I will see how it works for me. I have heard that the MA-100 falls apart quick. Does any one know where I can get the accessory plate to attach a wireless receiver? Thanks guys,

For what its worth, I just picked up a used Flyer not too long ago after used several glidecams, magiqcams, merlins etc. It is an awesome system with many features and well worth the investment. Anybody considering varizoom, I would strongly consider taking a look at this one here. They sure don't come up used that often.

Problem I am having is the possibility of a huge loss.

At any rate, at this point I would be happy to trade the camera for a Sony V1U so I can record my newborn baby with something that is not a shoulder mount, and just sell off the accessories and maybe keep the wireless for future use.

The camera is to big for what I need now, anyone possibly interested in a trade should try to reach me. I still want to stay in an HDV format.

FS: Steadicam Merlin Signature Series $700 with optional Merlin carrying case

I bought this back in June 2006 from BH Photo and ended up never getting to use it in any of the productions I'd intended to use it in so it's literally only got two hours of use. I'm in Louisville, KY and will only ship to the US via UPS. Paypal or money order only please.

Post in this thread or leave me a PM and we can work out arrangements. I can also be reached at gwatts59 (at) insightbb dot com.
