Thanks for all the great insight you all have provided (even though I never posted, I read a ton in my short stint). I regretfully have to place my camera up for sale. I have not been able to use it as I originally thought due to starting my student teaching and spending more time with my hopefully-more-than-just-a-girlfriend (have to pay for a ring somehow...)

All that said, I've got a Canon XL1s NTSC for sale with less than 15 hours of use. I would like to sell everything as a package, since it all has to go. I originally paid about $4650 for all this stuff, and would like to sell it all for $3400 plus shipping.

I have found and bought a very nice used GL2 locallly. Thanks to all who sent me offers to sell their GL2.

For a great example of Canon service, see the thread I just posted on Canon's repair of this GL2.

just wondering how much are they new? is that the biggest battery it comes with? i may be interested

You can't get them new anymore, they were discontinued when the GL2 was released last year (I believe).

I think they were in the low $2000 range new though.
