Do you mean the 16x Manual Servo Zoom Lens? I can't find a 14x. I would be interested in the 16x Manual Servo Zoom Lens.

Alexey Malyshev October 25th, 2005 09:15 PM

What's the 1st 4 digits of serial on vx2000?

Paul can you tell me all the hourly usage stats from the menu in cam (threading hours, etc). Also, how much are you asking?

Joel Guy October 25th, 2005 09:48 PM

Brian,

The 14x is the predecessor of the 16x, though it is preferred by many because it is the only XL-series lens with a true manual iris. The iris on the 16x (and the other XL-lenses) is electronic, and therefore you have to deal with nasty steps in aperture movement and thus, light.

On the other hand, the 16x has servo controls, if that is your cup of tea.

Glen Elliott October 25th, 2005 09:50 PM

Did you get your Mac yet. I got a G5 a few months ago but am deciding to sell it. Probably booted under 10 times. It's a Dual 2.0 G5...still have box and all components...also have a 3-year Applecare extended warranty.

Just figured I'd mention it.

Brian Doyle October 26th, 2005 12:59 AM

what is the F stop range on it? I never even heard of it. I"m very interested in learning more.

The Dell is tentatively sold, if deal falls through I will update the thread again. Thanks!

Joel Guy October 26th, 2005 08:39 AM

Brian,

I'm surprised you've never heard of it.

The F stop range is from 1.6 - 11.

Since the manual 16x replaced this model, Canon stopped making these, but camera stores (dvinfo.net's sponsors included) continued selling them for quite some time.

I can't find them on B+H's site now, so maybe they finally ran out of stock.

This is how not to conduct a sale. These *are* serious people here at DV Info Net. You'll have much better luck if you simply post your price and get on with it. Hope this helps,

Firestore for sale

Selling the firestore fs-3 Anton Bauer mount, 40gb drive.

Excellent condition asking $1400.00.

More info on the fs-3 is available on the manufacturers website:
http://www.focusinfo.com/products/firestore/fs-3.htm

This has been a real timesaver as it eliminates the capturing process. It can be used with most cameras with a firewire port. I have used it mainly with an xl1, gl1 and gl2.

Will be glad to answer any questions, thanks for looking.

I have a GL2 I'm looking to sell if that would interest you. I'm trying to find someone around my area to buy it, but if not I'll be selling it here in about a month. I'm finishing off a commercial for a small company. I'd take anywhere from 1200-1500. It has hardly been used for anything. Just a few shoots here and there. About 15 tapes have been used on it. I also have extra batteries and accessories I would throw in for you.

Let me know if you have any interest in purchasing this camera.

Joel Guy October 26th, 2005 03:57 PM

Based on several people's interest in certain parts of this package, but not the whole package, I've decided it makes more sense to break this up and price each item individually.

Here are the prices:

1) Canon XL2 - body only - under 5 hours of use - mint condition
+ 4-year Mack Warranty (now 3 years and change)
+ extra Lenmar battery
+ 5 Panasonic 63PQ mini-DV tapes
+ Panasonic head-cleaner tape (AYDVMCLA)
+ all standard accessories that came with the XL2 (S-video cable, AC adaptor, battery charger, manual, etc)
(in the original boxes)

$3100

2) Canon 14x manual lens, with full manual zoom, focus, and iris - mint condition
+ Canon lens bag, ND8 filter, and Tiffen UV filter
(in the original box with warranty card)

$650

3) Kata CCC-10 Pro-Camcorder case (medium) - mint condition

$150

4) Canon TA-100 Tripod Adaptor - mint condition
(in original box)

$100

5) Bogen/Manfrotto 516 fluid head / 515 tripod legs / 100mm ball leveler, in soft carrying bag - very good condition

$650

Wanted: Mark 1 Century Optics .3x fisheye for Sony VX2000

Century Optics apparently produced the lens I want for a short time before switching to the MK2 but I don't feel that the MK2 gives a wide enough view.

Can anyone help me find this lens? It is very rare and needs to fit the VX2000 which has a 58mm thread (although I am actually looking for a bayonet mount, the screw mount would be fine).

The MK1 for the VX1000 is fairly easy to find but that is a 52mm fixing and I have one already. Some people have offered to modify my VX1000's MK1 to fit the VX2000 but I do not want to do that.

Please help. I am located in London, England.

Ryan Reyes October 27th, 2005 12:17 PM

I've emailed you.

Mick Isdes October 27th, 2005 02:30 PM

Bryan, that is a great price. If you add another $200 or so for Applecare & another $100 for RAM... etc..your still looking at about $1500.

And yes this does come with the AP card. I am not sure what you mean by BT?

Aloha

FS: Audio Technica AT 897 Shotgun Mic and Wind Sock

Hey guys. This was a great mic I used on a few short films and such on my old dvx100a. I've since sold my camera (I edit professionaly now) and no longer have a use for this mic but it works perfectly. I originally purchased it about a year ago from BH for $299 and also bought a Rycote wind sock for it (I think it was ~$80 from bh at the time).

I'm selling my mic in its original case with mic stand mount bracket, Rycote wind sock and a 3 foot xlr cable for:
$200 shipped to your door (continental US only)!

19 inch Sony LCD

Hey guys:

This is a less than a year old Sony HS94P LCD monitor with Xbrite technology which I purchased in December of 04' from Circuit City for editing use. It is under the factory 3 year warranty and I have the original receipt showing a paid price of $707. There are no dead pixels, no cosmetic blemishes of any kind (I never even took off the plastic protective film over the corners) and includes all documentation, cables (both DVI and VGA included) and original packaging (including antistatic/dust bag which it is now being stored in). I loved this monitor but I upgraded to a 24 inch lcd and have no room for my Sony. Read a review below from cnet:

http://www.cnet.com.au/desktops/moni...0001866,00.htm

Here's a picture, it was being used with both a mac mini (DVI) and my Dell (VGA). Its native resolution is 1280 X 1024 and response time is a fast 12ms. I think that's about it, help me find a home for this great display!

http://www.definingfilms.com/sony.jpg

PRICE: $400 + shipping but would prefer a local pickup or meet.
